Shavuos is on it's way - is Autumn here to stay?

I love Shavuos.

It fills me with a sense of introspection, growth, and connection. And so does autumn!

I guess the Aussie in me knows that, come Shavuos down south, the crisp auburn leaves will be blanketing the earth beneath the trees.

As we take stock of our lives, contemplating where we stand, we count the days towards Shavuos. There is a beautiful practice of associating sefiros (Godly attributes) to each day of the Omer, learning about them, and incorporating these middos (traits) into our lives.

Just like Shavuos, autumn is also associated with introspection and reflection. As the days grow shorter and the weather turns crisp, we may be inclined to slow down, take stock of our lives, and contemplate our goals and priorities. This can be a time of self-discovery and personal growth, as we gain clarity about what we truly value and seek to make meaningful changes in our lives.

So whether it is autumn in your neck of the woods or if spring is here with rays of summer sun shining through, let us hold onto the feeling that is crucial to Shavuos: ''Naaseh V'Nishma''. Let us take the opportunity to introspect on our lives and in which direction we are growing.

As the autumn hues surround my thoughts, then it is surely appropriate that my first artwork in my landscape series captures my true colours and feelings with my first landscape acrylic piece now available for print.

Let us count our way to Matan Torah, accepting the Torah with love and radiance, as we hold onto our current success and strive toward our future visions.

Does this resonate with you?

I'd love to hear your thoughts.

Wishing you a beautiful journey as you climb your personal ladder to Matan Torah

with love,

Yehudis Esther

P.S I had some tech difficulties and this post got held up in drafts.. (I was trying to be organised ;P )

Well, It IS hashgoch pratis that the day I managed to send out my post is Lag B'Omer!

Remember that story of the water dripping on the rock? Persistent dripping caused the rock to corrode and left it with an imprint. That story was with our famous R' Akiva! What an opportune time to introduce my newest portfolio 'Water's Wonders'.

May the flowing Torah mark our hearts with imprints of connection and excitement as we work our way to receiving the Torah in full.
